The self-enumeration process will continue from May 1 to May 15, after which house listing and housing census will be conducted from May 16 to June 14 through door-to-door visits by enumerators.
Officials briefed the Chief Minister on the online registration process and the implementation plan. Administrative preparations for the exercise have begun across districts.
Describing the census as a key tool for governance, Soren said it would help ensure that government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries more effectively.
He also asked officials to involve personnel familiar with regional languages to facilitate better communication during the enumeration process.
Calling the exercise a collective responsibility, the Chief Minister appealed to residents to cooperate and ensure successful completion of the census.
MLA Kalpana Soren and senior officials were present on the occasion.
